Our game is coming along pretty well so far, considering the initial detail-hashing we had to do last night. The modeling is nearly done I believe, and core functions for the gameplay are coming together. I feel a need to mention that I was not anticipating a micro-RTS for this game jam. Hopefully we can get Guiding Light playable tonight, leaving some room for patching and polishing tomorrow. Overall I feel like we’re behind our original goals, but we’re on track and should still meet the deadline without issue.

My sound effects are nearly complete. Several are in a “final” state while others need a bit of work. I’ll make sure I don’t obsess over polishing and instead focus on iterative repetition. I also took a little time to design the UI menu screens and buttons. They’re not all done yet but they’re quite far along and I can easily complete that tonight too. I will attempt to sleep sooner than I did last night.

I gotta say, I think that if I focused on it enough I could easily make more polished and stimulating menu / start screens for video games or other media. Even with the concept art merely clipped-in this looks pretty stellar:
